Sharing Models

Sharing a model lets people into it: they see its canvas and its tables as they are now, including work that hasn't been released.

Who owns a model

A model belongs to its space. Every manager of that space is an owner of the model. Owners decide who else gets in, and only owners can share the model or remove access. Creating a model doesn't make you its sole owner: the space's managers own it with you, or instead of you if you aren't one.

Roles

Neither role can share the model further. People also get these roles from the space itself, without a direct share.

Share a model

Open the model's details, choose Share, enter one or more email addresses and pick a role. See who you can share with.

A model in a Sealed space can't be shared one by one. Give people a role on the space instead.

Revoke access

An owner can remove anyone they shared the model with, at any time.

If that person had imported tables from this model into their own models, those imports become read-only stubs: the table stays on their canvas, marked as no longer accessible, but its rows are gone. There is no option to let them keep the data.

Access someone has through the space is managed on the space, not here.
