Design apps Early access
A Design app drafts tables with you. Describe what you want to track, and an AI agent proposes the tables, columns, types, units and links. You review each version, ask for changes, and apply the one you like to a model.
It is the quickest way from "we need to track gigafactory capacity by country" to a set of well-described, linked tables, without designing a schema by hand.
Design apps are open to selected organizations. See Apps for what they cost and who can use them.
Create a Design app
- Open Apps in the sidebar and click New app, then choose Design.
- Choose how to start:
- New tables, from a description.
- Tables I have, their schema as the start. Pick the tables; only their shape is copied, and their rows stay in their model.
- Pick the target model the tables will be created in: a space, then a model in it, or a new model. You need to be able to edit it.
- Under Describe the tables (or What should change, when you start from tables you have), say what to track, what one row is, and what you will ask of the data.
- Check the Cost limit: what every round of this app may spend on AI models, together. A round stops once it is spent.
- Click Draft tables (or Draft changes).
The page follows the agent as it works: reading the brief, looking up units, writing the version. Stop cancels the round. The first version, v1, appears when the round finishes.
Review a version
Each round produces a new version, v1, v2 and so on, and the page shows the latest one: a card for each table with its columns, types, units and descriptions, a Changes list against the version before, and a graph of how the tables link.
On each table you can mark what you want:
- Lock keeps the table as it is; later rounds leave it alone.
- Change asks the agent to rework it.
- Drop removes it from the design. You can also drop single columns, and leave a comment for the agent on any table or column.
Small corrections don't need a round: rename a column in place and the version updates at once, at no cost.
Ask for changes
Under the version, two tabs decide what happens next:
- Request changes: write what should change, and send it with your marks. The agent drafts the next version from the current one, so anything you didn't ask about stays as it was.
- Approve: you are happy with this version and want it in the model.
Rounds are unlimited but run one at a time. Each version keeps what its round cost, and all rounds together stay within the app's cost limit.
Apply a version
On Approve, click Create N tables the first time, or Apply vN for a later version. Mycorr makes the target model match the version:
- New tables are created with their descriptions, column descriptions, units, keys and links.
- On a later version, the changes since the last apply are made: columns added, renamed or retyped, units and descriptions set, links added or moved.
Then Open the model takes you to it. The tables are ordinary tables: fill them by hand, import data into them, or lend them to a Research app.
Apply is careful with what is already there:
- It never deletes a table or moves a column between tables. Do those on the canvas.
- A type change converts every value or nothing. If some values don't convert, that change is listed as not applied and the rest go ahead.
- Data never blocks a change. If a column made required has empty cells, or a key column has repeated values, the change is applied and the page tells you where.
- It waits for open commits. If someone has uncommitted edits on one of the tables in the canvas, Apply writes nothing until they commit or discard them.
- It respects edits made elsewhere. If someone changed the tables in the model since the design last saw them, Apply writes nothing; instead the design takes the model as it is now as its latest version, carrying your marks across, so the next round starts from the real tables.
If an apply stops part-way, the version says how many changes were not applied, and Apply the rest finishes them.
