Glossary

Every term these docs use, in one place. Each entry links to the page that explains it.

A

Access request

A request, sent with one click, to the people who can share a table or model you can see but not read. They get a notification with Accept and Decline. See Sharing and permissions.

Action bar

The bar at the bottom of the canvas that offers the actions fitting your selection. See The canvas.

Admin

An organization role that governs every space and invites members, but cannot read a space's data without granting itself access. See Roles.

AI trial

A personal organization's one-time allowance of $3 of AI use and 30 web lookups, for trying apps.

App

An AI agent that works on your tables: a design app drafts tables with you, a research app fills tables from the web. See Apps.

Attachment

A column type that holds files on a row. A table has at most one attachment column. See Attachments.

C

Canvas

The shared surface of a model, where its tables are laid out and edited, live, by everyone working in it. See The canvas.

Catalog

Mycorr's public collection of datasets, readable and importable by anyone. See The public catalog.

Checkpoint

A version of a table you named so you can restore it, compare it or release it later. See Versions and releases.

Collaborator

A role, on a space or a model, that can open and edit but not share or delete. See Spaces.

Commit mode

A table state in which your edits wait as staged changes until you commit them together, as one version, instead of landing one by one. See Edits and commits.

Connected table

A table read from a source outside Mycorr through a connection. It is read-only in Mycorr and updates when you sync it. See Connections.

Connection

A saved link to data outside Mycorr: Google Sheets, a Postgres or Supabase database, a Google Cloud Storage bucket, or a local SQLite file. See Connections.

Cost limit

The most an app may spend on AI, set when you create it. See Apps.

D

Dataset

A named set of tables, possibly from several models, that you share or publish as one thing. See Datasets.

Details pane

The panel on the right of the canvas that describes what you selected. See Find your way around.

E

Egress

Data leaving Mycorr: exports, downloads, API reads and what AI tool calls return. Counted monthly against the organization. See Usage and limits.

G

Governance log

An organization's record of every act that changes who can do what. See Organizations.

Graph view

A view of a model's tables as a graph, joined by their links. Switch to it with ⌘ ⇧ G. See The canvas.

Guest

Someone outside an organization who holds a role on one of its spaces. Guests belong to personal organizations. See Members and roles.

I

Import

Bringing a table from another model into yours without copying it. You read its release, read-only. See Import a Mycorr table.

Intent

A hint on a column, Required, Unique or Key, saying what its values should be. Intents are not enforced; the table audit grades the data against them. See Column meaning.

L

Latest

A table's current version, which the people who can edit it work on. See Versions and releases.

A record that a column in one table refers to a column in another, such as an order's customer ID. See Links between tables.

M

Manager

The space role that owns every model in the space and decides who can reach it. See Spaces.

MCP

The Model Context Protocol, through which AI assistants connect to Mycorr. See MCP server.

MCP endpoint

An organization's own MCP server address, which locks an assistant's connection to that organization. See MCP server.

MCP tool calls

The actions an AI assistant takes against your data through the MCP server, counted monthly against the organization. See Usage and limits.

Member

The basic organization role: creates spaces and works in the spaces it is granted. See Members and roles.

Model

A workspace of related tables on a shared canvas, living in a space. See Models.

Model provider key

An Anthropic, OpenAI or Google key that an organization's apps run on, set by an owner or admin. See Model providers and keys.

O

Open space

A space nested inside another, which inherits the access of the space above it. See Spaces.

Organization

The top of the hierarchy: it owns the data, holds the people and carries the plan. Every account has a personal one; any other organization holds a team. See Organizations.

Owned table

A table whose home is the model it sits in: created, uploaded or pasted there, and edited there. See Ways to add data.

Owner

The organization role with full control, including billing and roles. An organization can have several. Also: the managers of a space, who own its models. See Roles.

P

Personal access token

A credential that lets a script, the Python SDK or an MCP client act as you. See Personal access tokens.

Personal organization

The organization every account gets at sign-up, holding only you. See Organizations.

Primary key

The column, or columns, that identify each row of a connected table, so a sync knows which rows changed. See Connections.

R

Read-only stub

What an imported table becomes when its owner revokes your access: it stays on your canvas, without its rows. See Share a table.

Recipe

A saved, reusable query with options. Running it writes its answer into a model as a result table. See Recipes.

Release

The version of a table that people outside its model read: importers, people it is shared with, and AI assistants that cannot edit it. See Versions and releases.

Restricted space

A top-level space that only the people you add can see and open. See Spaces.

Result table

A table a recipe wrote. It is read-only, marked with Σ, and a re-run updates it in place. See Recipes.

S

Sealed space

A top-level space behind a wall: only the people you add know it exists, and nothing inside can leave it. See Spaces.

Seat

A place for one member, or one pending invitation, in an organization. See Seats.

Select

The column type for values picked from a defined list of options, single or multiple. See Select columns.

Space

A division of an organization that decides who can reach the models inside it. See Spaces.

Storage

Sync

Bringing a connected table up to date with its source, or an imported table up to its owner's newest release. See Connections and Versions and releases.

T

Table

Data in typed columns and rows, with a history of versions. Every table has one home model. See Tables and views.

Trash

Where deleted tables, models and spaces wait before they are gone for good, and where you restore them. See Trash and recovery.

V

Version

The state of a table after a change. Every change to a table's rows or columns makes a new one. See Versions and releases.

View

One way of showing a table on the canvas, with its own filters, sorting and visible columns. A table can have several. See Tables and views.

Viewer

A role, on a space or a model, that can open and read but not change anything. See Spaces.

W
