Share a model

Sharing a model lets someone into that one model without giving them the rest of its space. They see its canvas and its tables as they are now, including work that has not been released.

Who can share

A model belongs to its space, and every manager of that space owns it. Only owners can share the model directly or remove a direct share. Creating a model does not make you its only owner: the space's managers own it with you, or instead of you if you are not a manager.

Roles

RoleCan
CollaboratorEdit the model and its tables, upload files and import Mycorr tables, create checkpoints and releases
ViewerOpen the model and read its tables, without changing anything

Neither role can share the model further.

Share a model

  1. Open Manage access in either of two places:
    • On the overview, from the model row's menu.
    • On the canvas, with nothing selected, from Manage Access on the action bar.
  2. Enter one or more email addresses.
  3. Pick Collaborator or Viewer.
  4. Confirm.

See who you can share with. A model in a Sealed space cannot be shared one by one; give people a role on the space instead.

The access list marks where each person's access comes from:

  • Direct access: shared on this model, and managed here.
  • Space access: from their role on the space. It reads Managed in Space Settings, and you change it there.

Someone the space already covers is not shared with twice, so a person is never listed both ways.

Pending invitations

Someone without a Mycorr account gets an invitation by email. Their row stays pending until they sign up; its menu offers Resend Invitation and Cancel Invite.

Revoke access

Open the person's row and choose Revoke Access. The change takes effect at once.

If they had imported tables from this model into their own models, those imports become read-only stubs: the table stays on their canvas, marked as no longer accessible, without its rows. There is no option to let them keep the data.
