Members and roles
An organization's members are the people who work in it. Owners and admins invite them, give them a role, and remove them; what each member can open is then decided space by space.
Being a member does not open any data by itself. A member can create spaces of their own and works in the spaces they are granted. See Spaces for how access inside the organization works, and Roles for what owners, admins and members can each do.
Invite people
- Open organization settings (the gear beside the organization's name) and choose Members.
- Type one or more email addresses. Each becomes a chip.
- Choose Invite.
Each person gets an email, and a notification if they already use Mycorr. They accept or decline from the banner on their overview, or from the notification. Until they answer, their row reads Invited.
People who do not have an account yet sign up through the link in the invitation. Whatever you shared with them before they joined is waiting when they arrive.
Invitations take seats
An organization holds a number of seats: 10 on Free, or as many as an owner buys on Pro. Every member, and every invitation still waiting for an answer, takes one. When the seats are full, inviting someone new asks you to Add a seat before inviting anyone new. See Seats.
Cancel an invitation
Open the menu on an Invited row and choose Cancel Invite. The link in their inbox stops working, and the seat is free again.
Change a member's role
Only an owner can change roles. Open a member's role and pick Member, Admin (governs, cannot read) or Owner (full control).
An organization can have several owners. That is how ownership is handed over: make the new person an owner, then step down or leave. The last owner cannot be removed or demoted, and the app says Transfer ownership first.
Remove a member
Owners and admins can open a member's menu and choose Remove from organization. Only an owner can remove another owner.
Before you confirm, the dialog tells you what the removal would leave behind:
- This organization's subscription is on their card. Removing them does not move it: it keeps charging their card until an owner replaces it in Plan & usage.
- These spaces lose their manager. If they are the only manager of a space, nobody owns the models inside it until an owner or admin appoints a new manager.
The person loses access to everything in the organization at once. What they created stays: models belong to their space, not to the person who made them.
Leave an organization
Open organization settings, choose General, and choose Leave organization. The dialog warns you first if:
- You are the only owner. Make someone else an owner before you leave.
- The subscription is on your card. Replace the card while you are still an owner, or it keeps charging you.
- You are the only manager of some spaces. Give each a manager first, or an owner or admin will have to.
You cannot leave your personal organization; it goes when your account does.
Guests
A guest is someone outside an organization who has been given a role on one of its spaces. Guests appear with a Guest badge in a space's access list, and they never become managers.
Guests belong to personal organizations: you can give anyone a role on a space in your personal organization, or share a model from it, by email. In any other organization, the share and access pickers accept members only, so add someone to the organization before you give them access. This keeps an organization's data inside the roster its owners manage.
