Import a Mycorr table

Importing reuses a table that lives in another model without copying it. Your model reads the release its owners published, read-only, and moves to a newer release only when you choose to.

Use it whenever two teams need the same table: Finance imports Sales's Orders instead of asking for an export, and both teams read the same table.

Import a table

  1. Open the model you want to import into. With nothing selected, choose Import → Mycorr on the action bar. The Mycorr source opens in the Import tab on the left: "Tables from your models and the catalog."
  2. Browse, or type in Search tables, models, datasets….
  3. Drag a table onto the canvas.

The table lands where you drop it, and a table that is Already in this model is marked so you don't import it twice. Anyone who can edit the model, an owner or a collaborator, can bring tables into it.

What you can import

The list is grouped by where things come from: This organization, your Personal organization, and Shared with me for tables someone outside the organization shared with you. Search results are grouped by kind:

KindDragging it onto the canvas
ModelsNothing on its own: expand a model to see its tables, then drag the ones you want
TablesImports that table
DatasetsImports the dataset's member tables at once. See Datasets.
RecipesOpens the recipe so you can set its options and run it. The answer lands as a table. See Recipes.

Published datasets from the public catalog appear here too.

You read the release

An imported table shows the version its owners released, never their work in progress. That is what lets them keep editing without changing your numbers behind your back. See Versions and releases.

  • When the owners release a newer version, Sync to latest release appears on your copy. Anyone who can edit your model can take it.
  • The table's history shows Releases instead of checkpoints, with In use on the release your model reads.
  • An imported table is read-only here. Its owners change it in its own model.

A table that has never been released can't be imported yet. Dragging it in leaves the import waiting: "… import pending — waiting for release". It arrives once the owners release a version.

Asking for access

If you can see a table but aren't allowed to import it, for example because you only view its model, dragging it in sends its owners a request instead. You'll see "Requested access to "…" — pending approval."

The owners see the request in two places: as a notification they can accept or decline, and in the table's Import Requests section in the details panel. Once one of them accepts, the table arrives in your model. See Share a table.

When access ends

If the owners revoke your access, the import becomes a read-only stub: it stays on your canvas, marked as no longer accessible, without its rows.
