Export data

Export a table or a view as a CSV or Parquet file, or write it to Google Sheets. An export is a one-off copy: it reflects the table at the moment you export, and doesn't update afterwards.

Export a table or a view

  1. Select the table or one of its views on the canvas.
  2. Choose Export on the action bar.
  3. Pick a format: CSV, Parquet or Google Sheets.

CSV and Parquet download straight to your computer. Google Sheets opens a dialog, described below.

What you select is what you get. Exporting a view gives you exactly what the view shows: its visible columns, its filter and its sort order. Exporting the table gives you every row and column. To extract a subset, filter a view and export it; there is no need to make a new table for it. See Filter and sort.

FormatBest for
CSVOpening in a spreadsheet, or loading into almost any tool
ParquetAnalytics tools such as pandas, Polars, DuckDB or Spark. It keeps column types and is much smaller than CSV.
Google SheetsSharing a snapshot with someone who works in Sheets

A Select column exports its labels, and an Attachment column exports the names of its files; the files themselves stay in Mycorr.

Export to Google Sheets

Exporting to Sheets needs a Google connection. If you don't have one, the dialog asks you to authorize Google first.

In Export "…" to Google Sheets, under Choose how to export:

  • New spreadsheet creates one in your Drive, with the name you give it. This always works.
  • Existing spreadsheet writes into one you pick with Choose from Google Drive…. Write to a New tab, or replace the contents of a tab that is already there.

Mycorr can only write to spreadsheets it created or that you picked; it can't list or open the rest of your Drive. The export doesn't stay in sync: to refresh the sheet, export again.

When an export is not offered

Export is missing from the action bar when the data isn't allowed to leave:

  • The table is in a Sealed space. Nothing leaves a sealed space: no exports, no copies, no imports elsewhere.
  • You can see the table but not its values. Some imports show a table's shape without its data, for example one shared with you without the right to share it on. A table whose cells are blank to you exports nothing.

What an export costs

Exports count toward your organization's monthly egress allowance: the data leaving Mycorr is what is counted. Reading and filtering inside the app is never egress. When an export would not fit in what is left of the allowance, it is refused whole rather than cut short, so you never get a partial file you might mistake for a complete one. See Usage and limits.

Export from code or an AI assistant

  • The Python SDK fetches a table straight into a pandas or Polars DataFrame, at its latest or a chosen version.
  • Through the MCP server, an assistant can query a table with SQL or export it to Google Sheets with export_to_gsheet.

Both use the same egress allowance as an export from the app.
